Morning all,

Decided to join this forum due to some better technical write ups about the GTR whilst looking for info on the net. Been riding the GTR from November 2007, had the second GTR in SA, a work mate had the first. Done just over a 100 000km's on mine till now, 100% totally problem free but for 2 stets of OEM front brake discs that warped, and a battery that failed after 6 years....fantastic reliable bike. Looking forward to interacting with you all. Respect!!

A very warm welcome from the U.K (although it is snowing here now).

There's lots of good advice and help available on this forum and all you have to do is ask.  You will also find that there is plenty good humoured banter too   :mfr_lol:

Quin, welcome to the forum. Please do share some photos when you get a chance.

Welcome. Don't be alarmed by the amount of BMW riders on here. The majority still ride the best bike.

And please don't make fun of them.  They're doing the best that they can with what they have.

Much thanks for the warm welcome all, it's highly appreciated.  :mfr_lol: I've owned only one BMW years ago, an R75 with a side car which was actually quite good, as long as you had a understanding of how a Bing carburetor worked...hehehe....kids loved it as it was the only bike in the stable where the whole family could go for a ride. I'll stay on the light side of life thanks...the "Dark side" ain't for me.   Safe riding everyone. Respect!
