A BIG welcome from North Yorkshire, you will love the GTR and it will be interesting to hear of the comparison between it and the FJR thingy  :mfr_lol:

The latest model GTR really is an improvement over previous models however they have all been very good

Be great to see you at the gathering  in June

Has the latest GtR really improved and in what way?

O.C.

for me it has definitely improved, the suspension feels more compliant, as yet I haven't made many adjustments to the standard settings but will be doing so from now on.

The bike is much more comfortable with the redesigned seat.

The screen is taller and wider at the top, plus it has the vent which does seem to improve rider comfort

The brakes feel great and that's after coming off a Super Tenere which has very good brakes

My bike is still very new so I'mnot able to assess the bike further ...yet.

Oh ond I love the two tone colour scheme

Kwackers has continuously worked on the bike, improving here and there.  Not enough to say gen3 but as some have said gen2.4..  You know, it's quite serious business to determine the proper colour for the upcoming year.  Meetings must be held, Saki (I do love Saki) has to be requisitioned, Geisha's requested...   And then and only then do they see what paint they have left over from prior years to see what mixture works or not.  We may think this trivial of course, but to them it's quite serious.

:mfr_lol: very good Jim,  hence the RAF Blue option for current model year in the U.K eh Jim, I guess this must have been a few tins left over from 1939-1945    :mfr_lol:

I think we used a similar colour back in 2010..
