Hi Ant, they have a 3v CR2032 battery with solder tabs in them, same as a gameboy backup battery I believe. A piece of cake to strip down - a couple of clips and a screw under the sticker. Make a note of the position and polarity of the old battery, remove it and solder the new one in. I did mine last week, still yet to test it though. You can test the TP sensor battery voltage without stripping it down as it has two small holes in the plastic case, you just need a voltmeter that has very fine tips on the leads, or maybe use a couple of pins in the holes.

Oh well, just went on a test ride and the bloody rear tps still doesn't work. I guess its either completely knackered or its lost its pairing with the Module. Pity they can't be tested before they go in the tyres without having to use the Kawasaki software.

Before replacement did it work? I.e. low battery warning and then eventually display pressure?

No Asif, about 3 months ago it just stopped working, with the dashes on the display. When I tested the old battery though, it was reading completely flat at 0 volts.

Could be just that it needs re-pairing. Did you take a note of the code on the sensor?

Yeah I took a picture of it as I remembered someone from here having to have the tyre removed again to check the code. I believe the only way to pair it is by getting a dealer to do it with the diagnostic software, is that correct?

I believe so yes, it's a dealer only option.

Looks like the KDS3 software can be downloaded off the net  :whistling:

Can't find KDSAdaptor.sys and KDSAdaptor.inf which are required to install the software

Asif do you have the link to the software as I can't find it? There's a 6pin adapter to an obd2 plug on eBay, but doubt if the software will talk to that. I'll keep a look out for the official adaptor

There's two links in this post. One for x64 and the other for x86 (i.e. 64bit and 32bit windows)

Let me know if you have any luck with the KDSAdaptor.sys and KDSAdaptor.inf files

There's a YouTube of the install so you can see why those two files are needed.
