Buzzed by a 300 cc scooter  :scooter:, :ohplease: with respect  I could of over took and got to the front and took the lead at various points along the way  but what would be the point of that! I didn't even know the route  the only time you where out of sight and not directly in front of me was when that sheep ran out in front of me :sweatdrop: and I needed to brake hard then the sheep decided to run in front for a while so it was a least a few minutes before I could make a pass that was safe, when I did I catch up with you with-in seconds I might had  I stayed in turn, and when your scooter mate eventually caught up :whistling: he still wanted to overtake, a bit of a knob if you ask me!!! I wasn't going to say anything  but seeing you mentioned your scooter mate :whistling: so  I remember your mate on the 300 scooter :hammer: and to be honest he was starting to piss me off  I understand he wanted to stay close as possible because on the straights he was just a dot in my mirrors  but it doesn't matter what bike you have.. you can only go round a bend as fast as that bend will allow so he eventually caught up :whistling: what pissed me off.. was he couldn't get passed me on the bends due to us both riding the bends limits, then hell bent on getting passed me he passed me on my in-side and never allowed for the bus stopping which he nearly ran into the back off  this was a group ride out, which riders tends to stay in line the way they start off! "at the said point" of the bus stopping!! I read the road and seen a car driver in front looking a for a right turn and I assumed he was not local and he was going to turn the next right which he did, there was also a bus which was stopping at the bus stop, due to people standing at the stop which is a good indication the bus was stopping :whistling: which I allowed for both theses vehicles, yet your ex-racer mate never  then with me seeing the hazard and slowing down he seen his chance to eventually over take me on the inside  and the bus slowed to a stop, your ex-racer nearly ran into the back of the bus  he may be a ex-racer :undecided: but on the race track the point is to get in front  on the road with mates in a group he should stay in line and allow for what other road users might and often do and not put other riders at risk  also he should consider getting rid of that scooter which could not "pull you out of bed" then he would not need to ride up the arse of the rider in front on bends so he hasn't got as much distance to make up when he's left behind on the straights.

Bloody hell Dave,   This must go down as the biggest rant ever  :taz:  on this forum.    Brilliant just brilliant    :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Dave, I applaud you for raising this. This is the precise reason why I am the Lonewolf and often prefer to ride alone unless I'm with a select few individuals who I trust to ride responsibly.

WHOAHHHHH, Dave, I just heard your gasket go boingggggg, and all this ranting took place after my bedtime   :mfr_lol:

I think I'd rather be entertained by JohnnyTs posts than read all the poo ...now where was I...oh yesssss  :sleep1: :sleep1: :sleep1: :sleep1: :sleep1:

Anyways this stuff is all 'off topic' anyroad, cos this thread was originally about L.Ws sale or no sale post, or whatever he was trying to say (I still don't know the answer to that one either)  :mfr_lol:
BE KIND...

ROG .

The entertainment value from this thread is priceless  :mfr_lol:

Steve.. a lot can be said on who we ride with  I also only ride with mates who don't feel as if they need to prove something  there is a devil inside us all and although ourselves are in control of our own bikes we don't need riders that think their better than you or better than their bikes :sweatdrop: the scooter man  was a good rider he managed to keep up with me on the twisties, but what pissed me of was he was riding to close to me on twisties and in built up areas leaving nothing for error  if I needed to brake suddenly like I did for that "PESKY SHEEP"  and it was just coming out of a bend he would have slammed into the back me :hammer: also due to the fact he over took me on my inside  and I would have decided at the spare of the moment to swerve left around the car that stopped to turn right he would have had me of my bike :hammer: hence "never under take" but to be fair.. I must point out that I had both Rog and Geoff in my sights and they kept a good distance between each other at all times and rode in a sensible yet spirited manner :sweatdrop:

Ah yes the original thread,     Steve, I estimate the value of your bike at this time of year in a private sale ( although I doubt very much that unless you got very lucky you would sell it private) as maybe £6.5  or in a PX deal for something very expensive, with no discount off the new bike as maybe a grand more than that.    Are you ever going to tell us what ideas you have running around your brain?. feel free to keep us all interested, as this thread, apart from The two old codgers, who are so old that they can hardly stand up, and a bloke from Liverpool, who spends half his life in a rage  :taz:  has turned into what can only be descibed as a motorway journey    :sleep1:  :feedback:

I do believe Steve's desire lie in the Bayerische Motoren Werke area....

If anyone came round my gaff and offered me £6.5k for mine I'd kick their arse up to £7.5k. They may be a niche bike but show me a dealer with 2010/2011 bikes priced up as low as the figures here say even allowing for the time of year.

If I was looking now I'd rip the arm off the seller with an '11 bike for £6.5k!

Massive difference between pre and post Traction control and if I was after one now and wanted a cheaper but equally capable bike I'd buy a minter, low mileage A8 but as luck has it I've got the CAF.

With K not significantly upgrading the model next year lets hope the depreciation is limited and not the freefall it was when TC was introduced.

For me the bike is a financial necessity for the job so the price is pretty key. It's a shame I don't get the pleasure I used to as I HAVE to ride.

Not complaining too much though!
