Now we must be fair to the GTR owners on here! after all they have not defected yet :whistling: so it won't be long before the likes of the wolf, Asif and a  few other die hard fans will complain that we are taking over the site and we don't even have a GTR any more  having said I would like to end this discussion on this note!!!

I see you've decided to enlist the help of your "very" slightly younger mate to gang up on me   I'm sure between the two of you it's possible you could raise a faint  but at your mature years  can either of you could raise the other!!! :whistling: :mfr_lol:

Yes Dave, unlike your motorcycle riding days  , when you hardly seem to turn a wheel these days, I can confirm that even at the age of 65, that I am indeed still   UP   for it, and have no problem RISING  :whistling:  to the bait.    :mfr_lol:

My dear "dithering doderers"

I'm having trouble "not rising" to the bate  it's really hard resist old folk... bless them!!

I do remember that Sunday we met at the bridge and  I did only last approx 1hr 30 minutes due to a toothache which was also giving me "the mother of all headaches" but I had already rode 90 miles to get to the bridge and had the 90 miles plus..  what we had rode the opposite way to my way home :whistling: so that was the reason for my departure, but must congratulate the  "dithering doderers" because I was on my ZZR  and I was expecting my fuel economy light to be permanently on, but must give credit where credit is due  keeping up with the "dithering doderers"  my economy light didn't stay on permanently :nono: so lets be fair  it just flickered on and off all the time :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Dave, my first wife   used to come out with that old chestnut," I've got headache".  Was the REAL reason that you were being   Buzzed by a 300 cc scooter  :scooter:,  Admitted the scooter had an ex racer on it, but he reckoned that you were getting under his feet, Oh by the way, he is also in the Old codgers motorcycle club, he is 72, but just like me, and my buddy Rog "The lakeland flyer", we are always up for a bit of fun, and a ride out, you really should join us some time Dave.     :whistling:

"Lakeland Flyer" I like that  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Dave is always welcome to join in the fun, as is anyone else who fancies a ride out, but its worth mentioning that 200-300 a day mile rides aren't unusual, with hardly an 'A'road in sight.

[/quote] Buzzed by a 300 cc scooter  :scooter:, :ohplease: with respect  I could of over took and got to the front and took the lead at various points along the way  but what would be the point of that! I didn't even know the route  the only time you where out of sight and not directly in front of me was when that sheep ran out in front of me :sweatdrop: and I needed to brake hard then the sheep decided to run in front for a while so it was a least a few minutes before I could make a pass that was safe, when I did I catch up with you with-in seconds I might had  I stayed in turn, and when your scooter mate eventually caught up :whistling: he still wanted to overtake, a bit of a knob if you ask me!!! I wasn't going to say anything  but seeing you mentioned your scooter mate :whistling: so  I remember your mate on the 300 scooter :hammer: and to be honest he was starting to piss me off  I understand he wanted to stay close as possible because on the straights he was just a dot in my mirrors  but it doesn't matter what bike you have.. you can only go round a bend as fast as that bend will allow so he eventually caught up :whistling: what pissed me off.. was he couldn't get passed me on the bends due to us both riding the bends limits, then hell bent on getting passed me he passed me on my in-side and never allowed for the bus stopping which he nearly ran into the back off  this was a group ride out, which riders tends to stay in line the way they start off! "at the said point" of the bus stopping!! I read the road and seen a car driver in front looking a for a right turn and I assumed he was not local and he was going to turn the next right which he did, there was also a bus which was stopping at the bus stop, due to people standing at the stop which is a good indication the bus was stopping :whistling: which I allowed for both theses vehicles, yet your ex-racer mate never  then with me seeing the hazard and slowing down he seen his chance to eventually over take me on the inside  and the bus slowed to a stop, your ex-racer nearly ran into the back of the bus  he may be a ex-racer :undecided: but on the race track the point is to get in front  on the road with mates in a group he should stay in line and allow for what other road users might and often do and not put other riders at risk  also he should consider getting rid of that scooter which could not "pull you out of bed" then he would not need to ride up the arse of the rider in front on bends so he hasn't got as much distance to make up when he's left behind on the straights.

Dave, calm down man   :sweatdrop:   yer heart will give in.   I think we should    and make up.  :mfr_lol:.  Scooter boy   :scooter: pisses me off sometimes as well, but it's just a bit of fun and banter. Give us a shout when yer coming out to play, and me and " Lakeland Flyer" will buy you a butty and a brew..

I'm not pissed of with you, Rog or the other rider that was riding in a sensible and in alert manner  but your scooter mate seem hell bent on getting up front which he did managed but only when I stopped behind the car and he over took up my in-side and nearly ended up as a ornament on the rear of the bus  in-fact if I would have sharp turned to my left to avoid the car that had stopped to let on-coming traffic pass before making his turn..  your scooter mate "ex-racer" that's a  would have had me of my bike :hammer: I've got zero tolerance for bad planning and riding and a bloody sight less tolerance if that person causes me to damage my " PRIDE AND JOY"
