Dave, I don't know where you've got this idea about me buying a KTM, I did say I liked it but definitely never said I was buying anything like that. The only bike other than the GTR which interests me currently is the BMW K16. (Don't tell Winston).  :whistling:

Steve, I know a couple of people who can highly recommend a machine from the same stable as your present bike, unfortunately they dont do them in green,(Yet)  A 1000cc four cylinder engine, as quick as you would ever want to go (not very)  :whistling: , good brakes (ABS), Traction control, with low power mode for wet conditions. Mega comfy, great on fuel, and a lot lighter than your present bike. I'm sure that your local dealer could fix you up with a test ride. You never know you may fall in love with it and buy one. And then you could join your pals on the dark side. :whistling:     :mfr_lol:
What would you rather be   or a wasp?

Geoff, I like the sound of that low power mode, sounds right up my street.

By the way, are you out on the Versys tomorrow at The Bridge & if so is your side kick coming with you.

On a serious note you are absolutely correct. I've recently been down to Allan Jeffries at Shipley a few times sussing out various deals etc.

I presume you are referring to me there Steve, we do plan to meet at the Bridge, however the weather here this morning is extremely cold (minus summat or other) and the road in and out of my village is badly frozen, more like a skating rink that a road some might say  :mfr_lol: So I will be reviewing road conditions in the next hour or so

Geoff is wrong as the bike to which he refers is now available in Kawasaki GREEN
BE KIND...

Dave, just got back home, I gave you until 2 bells and then left for home, you missed a stunning day  , wall to wall sunshine, and lovely scenery  , You're  right  about petrol, we try not to use too much. You are also right of course about the fact that we never travel too far from home. I have only managed a miserable 11,000 miles in just short of 6 months, I'm sure that you will have done lots more than that  :whistling: Anyway think on, I am expecting to live for a few more years, so feel free to contact myself, or Roger at anytime, and we will burn a few thimble fulls of fuel together. Must go now,as I need to wash all the salt off the bike, It must be back to looking brand new again, ready for Wednesday, and the next edition of           " The old coots on tour ".              :whistling: :mfr_lol:

"Old coots on tour".....I like that

Looking forward to Wednesday Geoff, and you're right it was a beautiful day today. My bike is now washed, dried, and 'oiled' ready for the next coots tour  :mfr_lol:

Geoff would not of been able to make the bridge today due to me having to do what us younger people need to do.. WORK!
your of course correct when you say I don't cover the miles you do :nono: but my day time is limited

P.S I reckon your going to be around a lot longer than a few years  if you've managed to do 11,000 miles in less than 6 months then the past years have been kind to you  I reckon there plenty of miles left in the "old dogs" yet
