steve.. the weather and rain protection is quite good on the versys  the way Kawasaki have designed the fairing around your knees, most of the wind and rain weather is bounce off and around your legs

P.S     Anymore....  Criticism on my new toy   :hammer:     :mfr_lol:
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

never had the busa that long i must admit but that was just because i regretted selling my green 1441. and your fault for putting me onto orrel, the gtr was a bit longer, must admit after dealing with orrel and talking to james the salesman i dont think there  are any other dealers who can match there deals.i have reccomended them to a few people.when / if i decide to change my 1441 for something smaller i will be going back to orrel,my problem is not being able to ride much due to work and mainly now the shit weather ,got just over 1000 miles up.
if I decide to change my 1441 .....  If I remember correctly, you've been down this road before  when you sold your 2012  zzr1441 and you were   so I would think long and hard before you make the same mistake twice. I've had 2 zzr1400's and when I sold my 2008 zzr1400 I regretted, it took me 2 years to get another one  the zzr1441 is a amazing machine and to be honest.. I don't know how you can top that!! I know it looks like I change my bikes regularly. I normally keep my bikes for years  but it was the 2012 zx6r and the 650 versys that I've not kept long, and that was my fault for refusing to believe that I was getting "to old in the teeth" for super sports  and for thinking I would be happy just to commute on the versys 650 and only for orrel motorcycles giving me good  p/x values and discounts on new bikes, I would had  choice but to live with my mistakes for a few years :sweatdrop: I'm not going to say that's it now, I'm happy with what I've got  the old saying springs to mind!! never say never... but I won't be getting rid of the zzr1441 :nono: and I did like the look of the versys and the riding position and now I have the ltr versys with the stopping power and grunt  I can't see me swapping the ltr versys for many years  to come either

OK 2K, you are defrauding our Government i will report you to the mototcycle style crew for having a sub-standard cheap sh1t TAX DISC HOLDER with NO TAX DISC !!!!!!!, I DEMAND you put things right by placing the TAX DISC  ( some of us have to pay you know ) in a more suitably attired TAX DISC HOLDER. If the afore mentioned is not adhered to within seven days, i will have no choice but to slag you and your TAX DODGING VERSYS.

BTW - find a better place to put it, looks like its going to go through the front caliper

Is that better now 2k, i hope i have made you feel at home.  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:
get a grip and deal with it

just niticed dave zedmeister is right, you have no disc in your tax disc holder, did you know? its funny that because when i received my 1441 from orrel after my fiirst ride out i returned to find that my disc holder was exactly the same as yours ,empty!! no tax disc in the holder.lucky for me one of my neighbours had picked it up and gave me it back,i then fitted another tax disc holder as the one they supply is nothing but crap.
... I don't mind Criticism when it warranted  and your correct about one thing! the dealer put the tax disc in a  :shit: awful place, I removed the tax disc from holder while I was cleaning the bike so it would not get soaked when using the hose pipe   as you can see by the pic...  the tax holder is now relocated to the left rear of the bike  I don't like the big :shit: looking tax holders that you need to use a spacer behind it's bracket so it clears what ever it secured, plus they stand out a mile and are even more butt ugly
hope this clears up any bollocks about reporting me to the tax man :mfr_lol:

Out of interest I can report that my ride out today on my new toy (Versys1000) was excellent, myself Geoff and two other pals left Devils Bridge at 10 bells and roughly rode across country through Sedbergh, Penrith, Brampton, Lockerbie, Hawick, Moffat to St:Marys on the Loch, where we had a lovely plate plate of Sausage Egg and chips, plus a bun and a brew of course, and then we rode back home on a circular route, taking in some stunning scenery and all in lovely dry bright weather, I got home at 5.45pm after covering just a little over 300 very, very comfortable and quick miles, the company was great the riding was stunning and I have to say the big Versys was a revelation

Where did everyone else ride out to today ?

Roger, if you'd have taken the M6 you could have cut miles off that journey.

Yes you probably would have done Steve  :mfr_lol: , and in the process missed all the stunning scenery en route

And then you would have returned home the same way with nothing but flashing (slowly) white lines burned into your eyes, and lungs full of exhaust fumes  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Do I assume that no one else took their GTR out for a ride yesterday ....tut tut  :whistling:

Rog, Glad you got home in time to see to your doggie     , Yes great day out, good weather, great company  , and fantastic scenery. Just one thing though I know that we were getting a shift on, but we must have been on a mission going through Lockerbie !!!, due to the fact that I missed it  . Did we really go through it?. if so I need  :help:. Either that, OR we were so dizzy after hundreds of miles of roads that were build for having fun on motorbikes , that my eye sight is failing, ( I am 65 ya know ).      350 miles on the white flash when I arrived home at my palace at 7-30. Yes we stopped at the Bridge for tea and cakes (like ya do ) and a bit of a chin wag, then a spirited ride through the Dales back to base.       Great day, roll on the rest of summer.
What would you rather be   or a wasp?

O.C.

Yep we did go through Lockerbie Geoff, and the roads were empty, it was agreat ride out

See ya for a natter and brew(s) at t'Bridge Wednesday
