Hi Debs,

I echo what Olde Coney says about the effort(and stregth and commitment) it takes to get your bike in and then back out of the chock. If space is too tight to get the GTR on the centre stand then its defo too tight to take a run at the chock. I have one and it is great for holding the bike upright as there is little room in the garage. I do not use the chock for the GTR or the ZZR

I knocked this together for use with my trolly jack, come's in handy for wheel cleaning, head bearing checks and wheel bearing checks, also if you need to remove the front wheel, you can also place a 2 inch flat solid piece of wood under the centre stand to enable more lift at the front so the front wheel will clear the mudgaurd which saves the hassel of removing the mudgaurd, it's also ideal for storing the complete bike of the ground over winter
As anyone eles made this? well it looks like the gtr is going to spend more time in the garage now the winter is here. I prefer the whole bike to be clear of the ground when not used for a while, and the suspension not to be under any load! also the front tyre will need to be change at some point, with the headers pipes being off set its not recommended to lift the full weight on one set! so made this block out of 2 pieces of wood with the necessary cuts outs to enable the block to sit flush, allowing the bikes weight to be distributed evenly across both sets of pipes, but clearing the sump and sump bolt, simple but effective.

getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Nope I've not made owt like that Dave

If I need to get the old girl right off the deck I generally shove her onto the Lift and drop the mainstand onto a 2" thick piece of very strong timber, (which isn't easy) then ratchet strap the bike securely, as I reckon that with both wheels clear of contact with the ground that the bike is that bit more unstable, god forbid it should ever drop off the ramp, as it would certainly squash me and/or do considerable damage to us both  :mfr_lol: .....Both wheels are now just clear of the ramp base, and can be removed.

The ramp does have a front wheel chock built in and a removable plate at the rear for rear wheel removal.
