England can surely be proud of the Olympics. Considering the size of that event, so I actually think that England are doing well! End of story ...

As mosegaard said " sad reading" , .... why do folk have to put good ol blighty down for what ever we do........... i for one paid a visit to the games on Tue and had an absolutley fantastic time, the village is outstanding,the atmosphere electric,and the rivery friendly.  struck lucky with seats 2nd row from front at score board end in the aquatic centre, even got my mug on the big screen when guy next to me was interviewed  and considering i forgot to take the camera and had to make do with phone i think the pics turned out ok.

Thanks Steve ... they are great photos    .. something that you are never going to forget .. my sister was there last week to see "The Boys" at the Gymnastics and said everything was very slick and she had an amazing time.

Yes been glued to it , Brother is in uniform  there on duty and he is having a ball , my sports are Archery and Shooting and a gold there as well in double trap  all in all well impressed we as a country can organise anything but sometimes you wonder if you are watching the same Olympics that the press watch juging by some articles.

rumoured that the Floyd will play the closing ceremony. For those of you that like the band Elbow, i was at the bass players house recently and they were rehearsing , would nt say what gig, but said its a week on sunday and huge, gotta to be, they also wrote bbc's olympic theme tune. Cant wait to see the floyd,    Roger or david ??, id be happy with either

Just to wind up those who hate the corporate side of The Olympics and the money makers .... I was at Horse Guards last night chatting to a lady who assists in running the entertainment side of things ... as you know you can't take in any food or drink to any venue .. yes you have to buy it there on site thus maximising their profits .... a burger in a roll £9, a small bar of Choccy £1.50, 500ml bottle of water £3.00... now get this ... The Champagne Tent .. taking £35,000 a DAY and the beer tent ? .... a staggering £85,000 a DAY !
That is massive !
"And as the weather is staying warm and sunny expect the sales to go up" she said with a smile and trotted off into the crowd .............
