I have sourced a new rear PR3 and can get a mate to fit it, does it have to be balanced? I guess so but would like to know for definate.

I would think so. You wouldn't want an unbalanced wheel causing issues with the spline

ive got a home balancer and just replaced my tyre for a pr3, with no weights on it , it was MASSIVELY out of balance due to the tyre pressure sensor putting a lot of weight on one side  , i put on a lot of weights to make it right.

BigAlan

OK, i have the details of the wheel removal, exhaust off then as the manual says.

Right, ingrained in my memory ready for fitting in August.

i didnt remove the exhaust to remove the rear wheel, in fact wheel removal is real quick and simple, much quicker thn a chain driven rear

So its Caliper mounting bold undone, caliper held in place somewhere, remove the bolt and sensor for ABS,  bit nut (me) in middle, caliper bracket off and then slide the cotter pin out.

I have the manual, seems ok to me.

Something like that. Don't forget to support the caliper once its removed.

sounds good, maybe just check the splines for a bit of grease when the wheel is out, mine was dryer than Gandi's flip flop
