Investigation ?? Any DC's out there ?

You mean you'd actually trust someone from the dark side to investigate something as serious as this?  This would need a proper investigator, somebody like a traffic Officer! 8)

Or failing that a PCSO! ;D

Now Now .. you will get into trouble for subversive comments like that  ;)

Will a Traffic Supervisor do?

I don't think so.
This is a civil matter, so I guess it'll need a specialized lawyer or judge.
From what I could find on the net the "use any garage you like as long as they use our parts" is a volontary agreement between car manufacturers.
Manufacturing and material faults are covered by the compulsory manufacturer's guarantee anyway (2 years EU and 6 years UK).
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

Bottom line for me alas, is I really don't want to have to take Kawasaki to court over a warranty claim.

Get your bike serviced outside of the dealer network, and K *might* decide that invalidates your warranty - particularly on a major mechanical failure.

The law may well be on our side, I don't know, but it would be a hugely painful process to find out.
