Whats the plan now then Asif?

Kwikasfuki

Dunno.

Take the cash and run
Take the cash and buy back the bike and fix it
Take the cash and buy a different bike (ZZR1400?)
Take the cash and get a new GTR

Once bikes are in your blood its hard to get them out of your system. The commute to work at the moment is bearable given its school holidays. But with the nice weather we've been having I wish I was on a bike

Firstly, why are you still on line at nearly 3am? :mfr_lol: Get some sleep!!!

On a serious note from the text you sent me the other day you clearly want to be back on two wheels....and why not? Have you broached with your insurance company a claim against the other driver for compensation to get you back on a GTR? I cant see how you could lose. Think about it you could get a a magnesium coloured GTR, how cool would that be?  :whistling:

What ever you decide all the very best but don't leave us! We need your knowledge and the voice of reason.  :ohplease:
Better to be old and grey than the alternative!

Asif, you know what damage was caused, I seem to remember forks etc, you could do a estimate of the cost to replace against what's being offered for the bike, in my humble opinion any damages you get from the car diver is a bonus for you and your family, strictly on bike finances you need to make this judgement.

On the one hand having a bike you know back on the road is on thing, on the other some people don't want the one they had the accident on back, depends on the money situation.

I have had a look about and in reality there are some pretty good deals to be had on used GTR bikes etc so perhaps that might be a consideration.

Whatever, you need to be on something the next time us softy southerners come up to Yorkshire home of the gold medals.

Alan
Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.
Previous, Sprint ST (2), VFR 800, Fireblade's (4) SP1, VTR1000, GPZ900, CB250, BSA Bantam D14/4, Suzuki TS100, SX200.

point #1    Agreed Alan is right there are some cracking deals available now.

point#2     Agree Alan is right ..Yorkshire seems to have become the home of the Gold....nice one Alan

On the subject of the Olympics I see the Yanks are now saying that team GB is at the bottom of the achievemnet table as they have lost or come last in more events than any other country.

id be tempted to rebuild my bike but selling a cat c bike, Id never touch  one, i guess if its your cat c bike then you will trust it but when it comes to get rid of it you will get royaly butt f##ked on the price , you will almost have to give it away, id personally bite the bullet and get into something else .
