I managed to get out for a couple of hours today. Damn cold, I had a ride over to Saddleworth, Denshaw and out towards Holmfirth. Not the best ride I've ever had, I think I was a bit wary of the ice and freezing fog, but nevertheless at least it gave me an opportunity to get out before I go back to work tomorrow.

I thought you were at the seaside!
Got back about 3-30, we went and had a walk along the beach at Redcar which was very bracing!!. Stopped at a place called Great Ayton on the way back very pretty indeed, must visit again when we are on the bike
What would you rather be   or a wasp?

This is one of those times i dont envy ye in the uk ,where i live in the west of ireland today was dry 10 degrees and cloudy no rain so got out for a nice run.

Everybody meets at the "Bridge" and it can be a bit predictable.  :sleep1:

Why not meet somewhere else like up at the Manor Cafe, Leyburn, http://www.manor-cafe.co.uk/ It would still take me a good 1-1/2 hrs to get there but it's worth the ride and there are some beautiful roads in that neck of the woods.

The cafe has now reopened after the winter break.

They were seriously weird.

Why? They were just giddy when they saw all our powerful GTR's compared with their 125cc's, bless em!  :mfr_lol:

What about Squires ( used to be called Milk Bar) at Sherburn in Elmet near york ( jct 42 A1) great place for bikers over the years, really big place, good for a meal or just a drink, got a bike accessory shop, always has bike racing on big screen TVs, can get busy in summer upto 500 bikers turn up on a saturday or sunday.
get a grip and deal with it

Lonewolf

Zed, yep thats still a popular biker meet. Its not what it used to be though, I like to support new businesses that why the Manor cafe appeals to me but I'm open to any suggestion.

viper

much prefer squires to the manor cafe, if you have not been to MC then obviously check it out, be rude not to.
We've been once , rude staff, carpark was a mess , only 4 tables outside and the toilets we voted the 2nd worst we'd ever seen after the 1st place winner in peru one year.

Lonewolf

Well lets go for Squires then if you like?
