Devil's Bridge (via Hartside and back via Stanhope and Corbridge) is one of my favourite runs in summer and I guess for you guys from the South and West a nice destination even in winter.
But this time of year coming from the North East I wouldn't want to go via Hartside or Stanhope because of probable snow and/or ice on the hills.
Going for an over 100 miles ride on mainly boring roads just to stand around freezing in a car park for an hour or so and then back again isn't really my idea of fun on the weekend.
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

Ok, so its officially official in an official sort of way that Rivi Hall/Barn is shit.  :mfr_lol:  My mistake,    . How about we all meet at Devils Bridge instead then, I hear that thats a decent venue....... :whistling:

O.C.

That's fine by me....is 11.00 am suitable for those planning to go ?

How about we keep an eye on the weather and if it looks like its going to be miserable then we can make a decision on Saturday

And please note that there are 40mph speed cameras surrounding the junction of the A65 and A683 as shown on the map that Andy kindly posted

[qoute] "dont mention Ponderosa to 2kwacks, I think he lives there! how about meeting up at the ponderosa :sweatdrop: I know the way to that place  and it's full of like minded people like us  but if your minds are now made up for the bridge that's  can go sat or sun if weather is ok, don't send me to "coventry" if I come on my zzr1400 because the gtr went out last weekend for a decent ride. but my zzr1400 as not had a ride since end of november so needs a good ride out to blow the cobwebs away
getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

just a thought but there always a motorway services somewhere that we could meet , that way we all arrive at a destination at same time , should turn a few heads as well that way
Plus there Rivi barn as another suggestion

Where is the ponderosa ? never been but heard it ok.
due to the time it took to make the decison of where to meet, I run the risk of being sent to coventry for suggesting a other place to meet :sweatdrop: "however the ponderosa is situated in beautiful north wales on the horseshoe pass Llangollen, it's very popular with bikers  here's the link just incase you ever fancy going. but if you do, don't forget to let me know
