Well, that was about 1350 miles of incident free and mostly enjoyable riding (who can ever really love the M6?). The weather could have been better, but then again it could have been so much worse, there was nothing that stopped us from riding and highland scenery is just as majestic under a bit of cloud.

Once again, thank you to you all for your company and to Lonewolf for pitching the idea. It was good to meet new people to attach some faces to names that I have known on the forum and some of you will now have suffered the trauma of seeing mine.

GerTRude has had a hot bath and the wife has given me a blast with the Kartcher, so we are ready to go again as soon as the opportunity arises.

I found that I was not taking many photos this year, partly due to the fact that I had visited most of the same locations last year, but what I have taken are now on my Flickr photo stream to look at:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/rynglieder/albums/72157719263878024

They should be there for as long as I keep my subscription up, I think my settings allow people to download my photos, so if anyone wants to grab a copy of anything they can feel free. I may post some of them directly onto the forum over time so that there is a permanent record if I should let Flickr go.

Hopefully you are all back safe, see you next time round.

Pete.

Pete, thanks for hosting the photos, very nice they are too. Glad you enjoyed yourself and didn't find the break tedious as you'd been before. Next year we will identify a different venue, somewhere further south, perhaps Glasgow?  :whistling:

Apologies to all the guys that I met "briefly it must be said" on this "Jolly boys ride meet"
made the Friday night in the boozer and a ride out on the Saturday with Steve and Nigel.. but a dam cold I had a few weeks before which had cleared after a course of antibiotics decided to return the Saturday morning which gradually got worse.. already had a taste of this dam flu and knew what to expect when it gets a good hold.. so decided to call it a day and ride home on the Sunday before the symptoms got worse. managed to get another course of stronger antibiotics off the Quack.. hopefully this time it will clear and bugger off as it costing me a fortune in :shit: rolls

roll on next year.. but lets head south.. got bloody soaked the short time I was in jock land :hammer: but on the bright side the midges never had a enough time to feast on me.. most likely knew I had the bloody flu

getting on now...  but not as old as Rog or Geoff

Nitty Gritty

You got it in one Tony, Once I'd committed there was no turning, just resigned myself to staying upright and ride the 11 miles around to where I'd started. I should have looked at the route rather than excepting it out of hand. Isn't the first and I'm sure not the last time I get the garmin adventure route when not expecting it. :stupid:

Maybe I'm getting lazy, sometimes it's easier to do a video than a write up and add photos.

Here's the first of definitely four, possibly five videos which I have created from the Scotland trip. A new video is released each Friday.

Check out the video if you like and some of my previous videos if they sound like they may appeal to you.

There's usually a mixture of bike footage, stills and drone footage in each video.

O.C.

Excellent Steve, as usual, I know that I have told you this before but your videos provide my biking fix whilst I'm unable to ride, so keep them coming, waiting for Fridays beats waiting for a weekly edition of MCN

I hadn't realised that there wold be at least 4 videos of our Scotland meeting, so I'm looking forward to the next instalment(s)

For those of you who haven't seen Steve's productions on You Tube, then I heartily suggest that you check them out as they are really very good .... keep up the good work Steve
