Hi all. Test riding a 17 plate with 8k on the clock in a few days. Hopefully i will feedback as a new GTR owner. Any advice, pointers prior to the ride would be great. Cheers!

Hi and welcome. Test the rear shock before the ride and see if it is seized. The big black knob normally gets so stiff it can't be screwed!

Check both infill panels for cracks around the screws, especially the one adjacent to the heated grips controller

Thx all. Looks like i might need to stock up on transponder batteries. Is the transponder issue common?

Always worth carrying a spare battery. Sometimes the low battery warning can come up when you've walked away from the bike with it in you pocket and then came back to the bike without going completely out of the transponders range. I've changed a few batteries in the past for this reason and the batteries have proved to be good.

So, the deal was done. Had transponder low battery warning on the test ride. Dealer put in a new one, now all good. What. A. Bike.
