It may be the first time some of us will "have got out" or been for a ride in a long long time and it will mean that much more to us perhaps as individuals .. taking everything for granted all our lives and then we get locked down for months. It's going to be great

I just hope them there Southerners don't fetch any germs with them up North when they visit our green and pleasant land.  :mfr_lol:

Rynglieder

I'm more worried about Ms Sturgeon allowing us past Gretna Services - all out of our hands though at the moment...

I am sure nothing from the soufff will even bother you lot up norffff ... but as R just wrote Nicola Sturgeon has locked you down north of the wall and looks like Boris is going to do the same at 8pm. Interesting times we live in.
Ps ... its a bit chilly down here in Sussex.

Not unexpected, we're all in lockdown.....again! On a plus, it's early Jan so hopefully by May we'll be sorted.

 :agree:

The lock down rule states "stay at home"  I seem to remember some conversations taking place during the last lockdown regarding whether taking your bike for a ride out was permitted or not

  So, what's your thoughts  ?

You can still travel on your bike, for some it may be their only form of transport. Shopping is the obvious authorised use in addition to travel to and from your place of work.

Have a read of this.

Or this.....

https://www.bikerandbike.co.uk/motorcycling-burns-between-170-and-600-calories-per-hour/

Motorcycling has been classed as a form of exercise for many years. It cannot suddenly not be considered a form of exercise simply because there is a pandemic.

I have a degenerative spinal condition which prevents me from impactive sports, I used to love running but have been medically advised not to continue running as it will damage my health.

Motorcycling on the other hand is great for building core strength in addition to it being low impactive on all areas of the body. I for one will, when the weather improves be out on my bike regardless of any lockdown. The key is not to take the piss. Even if I went out for 20-30 minutes that would be beneficial to me as a workout and coupled with the dog walking, I would consider myself to have had a positive day.

I can relate to that

Fortuanely it has happened at a time of yaer that I would not be riding so much anyway. I have just put two of the bikes on SORN now though, I don't see why I should be paying VED on bikes I can't ride. (I've also just asked very nicely for 50% of the council tax back on my holiday chalet - we'll see how that goes!)
