Hi,

How easy is it to fix a leaking fork seal?  Is it something best left to a mechanic or can someone with my limited knowledge do it?

I'd try that first.  Could be some dirt lodged in it.

My leaking fork seal was due to worn chrome, long story but I now have ZZR1400 forks with working compression valves at the bottom rebuilt with new stanchions by Firefox in Keighley. Didn't have any handling problems with the old forks but can feel a definite improvement with the fully adjustable new ones. Holds the line easier through bends.
