I expect every one of the guys at the bottom genuinely think they'll make it. It's just too painful to watch, the sound of the poor bikes bouncing back down

I agree Steve .. I found myself shouting at the screen willing them to get their arses up to the very top ! 

I am sure the local bike dealer does well out of it as would the on call Orthopaedic Surgeon !!!
