Got my GTR a year ago.  Mostly loving it... she's heavy to push home when she breaks down!

Looking forward to sharing stories and picking brains over the next few years.

Welcome, why did the bike break down?

PRD

Welcome. They are normally very reliable. What is the problem?

Welcome ... Isle of Wight members are rare, as are breakdowns with a GTR

Thanks for the welcome.

Broke down because the battery died this time.  Last time was the power commander which is now gone.  Poor thing was abused by a previous owner.

I've posted separately about the battery issue.  After spending 3.5k on a major service (including new discs all round and both front callipers) I don't want to be faced with another big bill if theres an electrical issue.

Do love the way she eats motorways when she is working properly.  Effortless.

Welcome,
I've recently replaced my battery after a breakdown in Scotland. Got recovered home.

Welcome!

Stick with the bike, like others I have had no troubles but then again batteries and stuff like that never have an eternal life.

I'm sure you will have a good 2020 with her.

Pete.

I am sticking with.  When she's working she's lovely and just eats my weekly trip up to London.  Used to do it on an 02 fazer and the GTR is so much more suited to it!!
