I had the speed limiter removed at no extra cost.Just because it was an option,Done by this man in the USA https://sites.google.com/site/shoodabenengineering/concours1400

I had read through his page looks good ,how did you do it post your ecu over

wildybeast

yes posted it.worked out about the same price as you would pay here.only small problem was that the ecu is held in with tamper proof bolts which i had to drill out.

Is there not a danger that these modifications could invalidate the insurance?

And how is that done

As per the video. Ignition on. Full throttle twice. Ignition off.

The GTR is a "fly by wire" machine. The throttle cable goes to a Thottle Position Sensor. *That* can sometimes be out of whack. Hence this "reset" trick.

Been in touch with hilltop mc they have repied and sent a dyno graph showing a increase in torque fron 78 ilbs to 91 ilbs bhp from 120 to 140 at the wheel ,so going to fit a can then remap just need to run it in first

Just bear in mind that it will invalidate your warranty on at least the engine side of things.

120 rear wheel bhp is very low IMO for a standard bike.  I had mine done with 1500 miles on the clock and recorded 147.5.. Rear wheel

think they must have sent you a wrong graph , standard bike has about 155 Bhp and 100lbs of thrust ,, mine has 156 and 106 set up on a dyno ,the more specs you look at the more different versions you see ,but set up right on a rolling road you will feel a difference and the power will be similar to other tuned ones , it does give the 5-6 gears a lot more go because of the better torque ,the gtr does not always. Feel as fast because it's so smooth but look down at the speedo and it tells a different story ,, I had the zzr11 and 12 the gtr is as quick but so smooth no vibes ,,the Bentley of bikes ,  :biker3:

My GTR was done at hilltop and it was a big improvement in the standard settings ride wise.

After three runs I had 151bhp at rear wheel and 100 lbs ft of torque, up quite substantially from the standard and rode so much smoother afterwards.

Geoff knows what he is doing.
Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.
Previous, Sprint ST (2), VFR 800, Fireblade's (4) SP1, VTR1000, GPZ900, CB250, BSA Bantam D14/4, Suzuki TS100, SX200.
