Trying to think of diffrence ways of getting the sat nav to work , has any one used the suction cup and put it on the rev counter face then putting the nav on that ,

Mmm... In search function you will find lots of info...
Personnaly i would like the best solution putting it above the dash cause no need turning eyes and head away from the road.  Some makes have that solution, but pity kawa doesnt ;-(

A more 'solid' mounting would be better methinks

After trying a few I've gone back to RAM ball / mount on the clutch lever bracket with two 100mm RAM extensions, puts the Nav right in the line of vision.
Best ever for this years tour!

I'm happy with the one I bought from Mother Kawa that sits between the bars

I tried several satnav positions and the best one for me was to utilise the centre yolk hole with a ram mount yolk adaptor and then use an extra long ram arm . Try to get the nav up as high as possible

Yup, got this setup at the moment, but with one extension. Drops it just below the clocks, but is quite close so not so good if you're long sighted :-)

Also changed the thumb twists for proper bolts so I can leave it on the bike without worrying too much about the 'tea-leaves'.
Too good a day to die

Nice idea those locking nuts, but looking at the recess for the lock "key", I'm sure a pair of long nose pliers wide open could have the same effect in those grooves!
If there was a barrel and key now I would go for that!

Safest place is on top of the dashboard indeed ,  like eg bmw gs has on special handle.
Like to see some pic

I knocked this one up for my Garmin. Works well and simple to make. Just a quick glance down to see it but as it is Bluetoothed to my helmet not an issue.
