Hell guys
I've a 64 plate with only 11000 miles on, recently on start up I'm sure I'm hearing the cam chain slapping a bit before pressure builds up, only seems to be on initial start up when cold
Any thoughts?
Cheers

They are noisy when they start up.

But it didn't do it when I bought it, my Ktm 250 Mx bike did it and had to change the tensioner too
Bit cheaper on that bike though.....

Mines a 2014 plate model, starting rattle on initial start up around  9000 kms, ran motul 7100 10w/60 noise disappeared .I think the thicker oil  pushed the timing chain tensioner to the next ratchet groove.
Have been running Amsoil 10w 40 ever since,no noise on start up now even after the engine has not been started for a month or more. Now has 15,500kms on it.

Get a manual tensioner for the zzr1400 i put one on mine its easy to fit and it never made the noise again
I have bought a 1400gtr so I can open the throttle and spin the world
