Anybody going this Sunday?

I just heard about it today, despite being at Goodwood yesterday I saw nothing.  Seems to be pretty poorly advertised.

Im not as already busy .... have heard mixed reviews about this from the dark side. One understands it is advertised as 'free"  but you have to join " a club" which of course costs you £20 and so it is a "club only event" .... You're not far away so give it a go and let us know !

Got it cheaper using the discount code but chatting to Kawasaki in Worthing today, they wanted £2k if Kawasaki wanted to turn up and have a "ride in". The guy never got back to Mick so highly doubtful Kawasaki will be there..

I'm booked up for it so lets see whats its like

I'll stick that in my diary then, free is always good :)

Well, I was so wrapped up getting everything ready for the IOM and Wales that I forgot about this.

Yes I went, but it was poorly advertised and hence lacked something.
There were lots of charities, the vendors were lacking, I found 1-2 stall that looked interesting but that really was about it.

Now, if you went there to test some bikes that vendors turned up with then great, you may have had a good time, the bikes in the carpark were far more interesting.

I've been to Goodwood many many times, the Revival, numerous Breakfast clubs and young drivers when my son was was having fun with the minis at 13 so I know the place.

But I approached from the south and was waved on with no signage suggesting where we go after that.. we ended up going in one of the recently constructed  marshalls points for Festival of Speed.   Eventually after taking our life in our own hands over thick gravel some guy pointed us to an entrance I'd never used.

That may have started a mediocre event on the wrong footing right away.

We eventually got parked and spent around 1.5hrs walking around and having breakfast then we cleared off.

I think there could be potential next year, IF they get some early promotion in for it. But it was no NEC or Olympia even on a miniscule scale.

As I mentioned previously the organisers never got back to Mick at Alfs for Kawasaki to turn up and the £2k they wanted would have been a bit wasted to be honest.

I'll see how it develops for next year but it needs to improve.

Hastings is in the diary instead!!

This was OK last year so we hope to be there again.
