As the subject says really, I was pulling away and saw a momentary red flashing light on the left hand side of the instrument cluster. Pulled over realsied it was not oil light, switched off and switch on, no red light in start up sequence so continued on ride.

The manual just says "warning indicator"

Any ideas ??

Hasn't done it before or since

O.C.

may have been F1 indicator which is a fairly common occurrence and nothing to worry about

I too had had this happen. Quite alarming as it was a real bright FLASH FLASH of the red light. Then off. Not come up since.
It did make me slow right down and look for anything obvious and I was waiting for a second happening but nothing did.
I put it down to the bike in its 1st run since a bit of work on it. Wheels out etc. It's not happened again but it does give you a thought of impending break down.

I had this happen once and think it may have been my mobile phones in the tank bag.
Sure I read somewhere that they can interfere with things ( alot of relays etc under plastic cover on top of tank) so put them in topbox and no probs since.

I have had this happen twice and each time I was in heavy rain.
As someone stated no issues

I know I've experienced this in the past, nothing to worry about I don't think unless it stays on for an extended period of time.

I'm now Pre-warned, so not so worried if it happens to us.

This to did happen to me. I noticed the revs were running slow. When the bike was in motion the oil light was coming on but only a quick flash. This become more frequent. I increased the idle speed with adjustable screw On side of the bike. Never been a problem since. The oil light was coming on when changing gear. The bike must have been stalling because rev were set too low.

This used to happen on mine and I found it was where I store my mobile phone in the tank bag with my fob. I think the bike losses contact with the fob
