You've never heard of KIPASS?  Kawasaki Intelligent Proximity Activation Start System

Just read up on it in the owners manual. Thrilling read  :sleep1:

Does anyone else struggle switching to the "on" position? Maybe it's because mine's new?

It looks embarrassing fiddling with ignition trying to start it up!  :embarrassed:

GT pack, Puig dark tint touring screen, Zumo 660, road Angel, Drift Ghost S HD cameras + remotes X 4, i phone 5s plus mount, Interphone 5 comms.

shouldn't be difficult,  apply slight downward pressure as you turn the cooker knob

Also if the steering lock is on, it helps to move the handlebars slightly to unload pressure on the lock mechanism

Only had an issue once and then it was a run down fob battery, changed it and all was well with the world, Keep the battery in tip top condition
get a grip and deal with it

Pross have you had the leaky cam sensor seal on either of your bikes at all ?

No not on any of them on this later one I have had the F1 flash up twice in heavy rain and my dash has steamed up which I shall mention at the next service.

The dash on my GTR steamed up when parked in the car park at the Vimy memorial in 2010...it was about 85 f at the time  though ....never happened with any of the GTRs I've owned since

Mind you it probably hasn't ever been that hot since then  :mfr_lol:

Mine hasn't seen those temperatures O.C.  :mfr_lol:
I'm thinking it's not waterproof and the steam up is caused by some heat inside and on the plastic I could be wrong

Had the same issue. All sorted at the 4K service. It is the rubber seal, the Kawasaki mechanic said it is a problem on some new bikes easily fixed by "applying some lub and popping it back in". He also said it should be ok from now on. 😀
