I am the proud owner of a Midnight blue GTR1400, 2010 model.
Bought by chance on eBay, appeared for sale as low mileage, 826 miles, so not even run in and that was in 2012 so 2 years old, after speaking with the seller he agreed to sell to me for £8000, what a bargain, came with Kwak gel seat and taller screen, even got the original seat and screen given to me, really nice guy he was.
Anyway since then have fitted electronic cruise control, towbar, rear hugger, extended front mudguard, stainless radiator protector, bar risers, engine crash bars and rear crash bobbins.
I love the ride comfort and handling of the bike, think the only downside to the GTR is the weight of it.
Anyway hoping to meet up with some of you on rides out in the near future.

 :185: :185:  Tommy.
I followed someone towing a trailer with a GTR1000 in Virginia, USA in 2000.
I vowed then I would never tow with a bike.
When empty it was bouncing around like a punk on speed.
When loaded it was pushing the bike around quite badly.
Each to their own :D

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.
