Time is a funny thing at times ....
The 1st GTR  I had .. like all me bikes I put a bagster tank harness on ..why ? Well I am a clumsy  bugga and forever dropping stuff ..and also to put me tank bag on .
Well the much heralded harness at the time turned out to be as useful as tits on a bull !!!!
Fast forward  8 yrs ..and we're at the same point ... so wook ordered a thunder gray tank harness and new 25ltr tank bag .. on the condition that if it was as bad as the 09 one the vendor would take it back .

Well! It all arrived this morning .. and it's pretty damn good ... just had to warm it slightly with the heat gun for it to sit better around the filler ..looks nice too

Im always concerned that a tank bag will obscure dials n more importantly warning lights especially oil light. If your going down long motorway at speed and your oil light comes on. It wont take much time to do serious damage to engine. If you can see light come on you can hit clutch quick n pull over at least. Just a thought guys thats all but i respect each persons choice 👍

It's all in the wrist you know 😏😏👀

Yep ditto but I never or very rarely extend the bag fully .. and over 40 odd years I have never not been able to see the dash ... that would be daft  :mfr_lol:
When we're in transit across Europe we use it as a grab bag .. essentials ..spare undies t shirt toiletries etc .. saves opening cases and rummaging  :mfr_lol:

Smart wook but i have seen guys out there with ruddy great tank bags n its a wonder they can ride the bike let alone see if theyre speeding or not which of course i never partake in 🙄🙄🙄😏

Totally agree with you there Mack ..it has the potential to interfere with the overall control of the bike .. over the years ah have seen quite a few bikes go arse over bloomers getting up ferry leading ramps  coz of the huge bag on the tank .

Whilst thrashing my then ZX9R over the Zeider Zee en route to Assen in  mid 1990s I was overtaken by my very good friend on his R6, the weather was p*ssing it down and he passed me at about 150 mph, he had Rucksack dangling from his back (the straps were giving way) in fact he was going so fast he missed the midway cafe  :mfr_lol: :mfr_lol:

Mind you his racing nickname is 'mighty mouse'......................work it out for yourself

I've never had any tank bag large enough to obscure the dash.  Interfering with hard right or left turns to the stops, a little bit.  The bag would have to be huge to do that.

My biggest problem with tankbags is that they obscure my belly rest  :mfr_lol:
