Can anyone tell me if the tps module in the wheels is interchangeable between years  I.e 2009 will fit a 2016 ?

It will yes, it's only the later ones which are different but any can be interchanged, the difference is the early ones you can simply change the battery with a little soldering, the later ones you can't as they are sealed.

But remember, if you change any you need to have them coded to the ECU with the correct number, which is the pain in the rear.

Just changed the battery in my front one but can't in the rear as it was charged under warranty two years ago.

O.C.

it's my understanding that the latest (2016) are different from previous years, I didnt think therefore that they would be interchangeable, but I could (probably )be wrong

Thanks Alan, that's what I thought after some investigation, just another project im working on to rectify something kawasaki couldn't do.

It would be good to see if anybody could find out who manufactures this and see if they would sell direct so Mr K does not get a huge markup on the price, but I suspect they might have some sort of trade deal so it can't happen.

Keep an eye out for em on eBay, but only buy UK ones as the ones from the USA work on a different frequency

If I am correct ours are 335khz and the US ones 315khz

I will check the paperwork on mine in the morning but i think that's correct.

I think you mean Mhz not Khz and I can verify the US at 315Mhz.  I show Euro at 434Mhz.  Not sure if the UK is different from that.

You know what guys i suspect with a v sharp craft knife that you would carefully be able to open even the new ones. Id try anyway because its gonna be replaced if you go to dealers. Whats to lose you may as well try to open it. See if you can save yourself £300 a pair plus fitting. Jmo 👍😉
Baby blade ,rt1100,CB1300 and the best yet gtr1400 😁😁😁👌

I'm sure someone may do that but I haven't heard of it over in the US.

Correct in the MHz I was tired while writing the post, and yes if my rear one dies I will attempt to get it apart as stated above it's being changed to nothing to lose.

Here for a good time, not along time

BigAlan

Do they have the sticker still on indicating there unique number which is what's coded into the ECU?

Quick question, if you just change the batteries, (Mine is the old type), I take it there is no re-coding required as the sensor is the same, getting mine done next week, thanks.
XJ600, VFR800, CBR1100, Varadero1000, CBR1100, STX1300, GTR1400 ?

Correct, the battery is a CR2032 but it has tabs on it to solder to, it helps if you can solder neatly as I could not find a battery with the solder tags in the same place, but yes new battery and away she goes.
