A post for motorcyclists, not GTR as wee bimble done on me "Twilight Zone" bike .. :whistling:
Always wanted to do the Gospel Pass - highest pass in Wales, and the road used by Top Gear for testing in the past, the A4069.
Chap from work fancied the same, so off we set!   :scooter:
Used me 700 solely down to the size of some of the single track roads we were traversing, with hind-sight glad I did!

Llanthony Priory on the Gospel path is fascinating, how did they build these places in the 1100's?   :undecided:
Overnight stay in the Travelodge, Llanelli, really cheap and near some good restaurants / hostelries in the town centre!   Check out the "Roti House" - Punjabli - so different and nice!
The A4069, good run, nice twisties although not many, with some interesting cars about on a photo shoot!
Fantastic roads, views and experience, traversed most routes before, but always "getting there" instead of enjoying the ride.
Highly recommended, few pics if you're interested..................

Agree with both comments of GTR and K16 doing it, and for the sweeping A roads probably better.

But the single track roads around Llanthony Priory, had 2 unexpected front wheel slips on damp mud / gravel, and meeting a milk tanker meant I just had to lean me and the bike into a hedge, would have been a tad tight on me GTR, not testing the crash protectors or Renault paint match again!

The other reason for using the F700 was just to see how well it does it, bought primarily as a commuter, but well happy with how it does backwater / A road runs.
Back home today so flex the GTR's rubber in a bit, suns' up in Shropshire!

Yep, 160 miles, surprising how long it was, just wanted to get all the "nice" bits of road in on the one trip!
Bit of a throwback to when I used to do the Welsh National Rally, anyone doing those recently?
