We did 3 years on the trot, best holidays ever!
Just avoid "local delicacy" that contains an abundance of offal!  :embarrassed: (unless that's your taste!)
For some handy info check out :-

You'll love it, need a report on the seat after the tour also!
Enjoy!
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

Heading Portsmouth - Bilbao, then through the Picos via Potes doing, Leon, Salamanca, and back to the coast, few days off in each. First time abroad on the GTR, did the Picos on the Pan ST1300 about 3 years ago.
Worst part will be the Cheshire to Portsmouth no doubt 😕

Portsmouth, agreed! Our usual crossing. I normally head down to Gloucester (home ground!) then A417 - Birdlip Hill / Air Balloon to Swindon, then M4 to Newbury then A34 south, so much nicer than the M6 / Oxford - A34!
It's the coming back that always gets me, after France / Spain roads and curteous driving you get off the boat onto congestion, numbskull driving and the rat-race that we have in the UK  :gun_bandana:
Ride steady and enjoy!

Coming down from cheshire so not much choice but the M6 south to start with. Usually go Toll with a stop, then M40, A34 stop at Abingdon Tesco's. Then M3 and into Portsmouth. Not sailing until the evening so got the day to meander south, evening meal in Portsmouth, top up with fuel and board.
