Has anyone tried the new AGV Numo flip up yet. I love the flip up with sun visor that I have with the Caberg Justissimo I have, I just don't particularly like my Caberg as it's not as comfy as I'd like.  I don't fancy paying a fortune for the Shoei (no interneal sun visor) or the even dearer Schuberth.

Cheers, Donald

I bought the Schuberth C3 a few months ago from Hein Gericke and its a great helmet. Very comfortable, very quiet and I like the degree of view you have as the front aperture is quite wide.

The question you have to ask is how often are you changing helmets? I was changing every year, and at over £200 a pop wasn't cheap. Now that I've had my schubeth C3 for two years, its paid for itself.

Will easily last me another two years plus

Only ever used shoei full face hemets to date,  what advantages in everyday use sums  up C3's multitecs etc ?

I tend to use flip ups simply because I wear glasses and the flip front helmets make life so much simpler. I also like the option of riding with the front raised for better air circulation on warmer days. Additionally I do believe you have a far better field of view with them.

Also you don't have to take your helmet off when you pay for petrol, go through customs etc..

At least at higher speeds (30mph+) I don't think that's such a good idea.
The later you brake the longer you go fast.

This is a comforting thread. After a lot of research I ordered a C3 last Saturday which was a leap of faith as I have a C2 that hasn't seen a lot of use because I don't like it (the latching mechanism seems very hit and miss). I'd read quite a few comments about C3 visors that won't stay up, leak air and water, and fog despite the pinlock insert (the visor on my S1Pro is guilty of the first and last but I can live with it) which was putting me off but people I know who have them like them. One of our friends acknowledged his visor leaked but said he'd still buy another.

I'm not aware of the visor leaking but I have had it fall down on me a few times but only at motorway speeds.

Mecki, quite right. I only use it with the front up at slow speeds, usually if it's uncomfortably warm and I'm crawling along through roadworks, very heavy traffic etc.

Yup, learnt the hard way. Had some insect almost hit my eye, I killed some mamma sized queen bee with my forehead (that hurt bad), and had a stone hit my cheek. Even if you're doing 5mph in your lane, but traffic is doing 70mph in the opposing lane, I put the visor down

The pinlock is a bit weak on the visor, but that's the only issue I've had at speed.

Don't forget, you have a guarantee should anything go wrong.

It's going in for a paint job shortly after it arrives which will invalidate any warranty as it involves a small amount of disassembly.

LW / Mecki, thanks for that. am due new lid an also use specs, so will have look at models from schu and shoei multitec. until now had never even considered them as an option but examples make sense an i plenty to learn

GTRnev

Also have a look at the Shark Evoline series 2, working better for me than my old Caberg Justissimo, particularly the flip front which goes all the way over and sits at the back well out of the way.

fatharry

I use an evoline series 2, i like it, bit noisy ...but well made and a decent price
It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
