Hello

Just some update :

I did the battery change on the TMPS too.

It's a 5min work and now it's working fine after drivint on a lot of different type of roads

The real hazzle is getting the tyre out of the Wheel...pain in the ass

Somewhere on here someone posted pictures of using large sash clamps to pull the tyre down to get at the TMPS sensor without removing the tyre do a search

I have seen those and I am too afraid of damaging the Wheel

Getting the tyre out and back cost 30€ for both tyres so that's ok, only issue is the time to take it to the shop and come back compared to the time to unweld and weld the battery!!

Hi ... 1st post on here ... Have had my GTR1400 for 8 years and love it ... however, for the last 3 years the flashing TPMS battery low warning light has driven me MAD, but I refuse to pay to replace with new sensors. Needing new tyres I persuaded J and S at Northwich to have a go at splitting the sensors and soldering in new CR2032 batteries. Its all working perfect!

J and S made no charge at all for swapping the batteries (which I supplied) ... so although the tyres cost a little more that Buckley Tyres would have charged, I'm v happy. Just wish I'd sorted it 3 years ago.

So, if anyone is suffering with dead batteries in the sealed TPMS, give them a shout. Have fun, Dave
