Safe journey in the Morning OC,     and do not forget to set the rear lusting tyre pressure to 42psi  :mfr_lol:

:agree: My own and the Blood bikes running at 42 front and back. Incidentally, the ex police demo's that we buy direct from Kawasaki UK have that marked on the bikes.
They'll have a sticker like that if they do any type of speed enforcement. Pressures must be spot on for accuracy of equipment used.

42lbs but use an accurate gauge to check it.

:agree:    Strange you should say that Jim

I checked mine over before my trip to Northern Ireland, I was riding solo and carrying some luggage in the panniers and top box, so I set them at 42 front and rear,

Obviously my two pressure gauges are now no longer accurate as the TPS reading en route were 40 front and 44 rear.

The bike behaved faultlessly over the weekend and I'll check the pressures again, but I reckon its time for a new pressure gauge as the one I have is now about 12 years old and the one on my compressor seems to be even less accurate

I would be more inclined to rely on a decent guage than the TPS sensor

My TPS read lower on both tyres ( both by different amounts) despite using a tyre pressure gauge that is known to be accurate....so I agree with Mo...you should not rely on the TPS. However once you have established what the TPS read at once correctly set, they are useful for a quick visual check each time you ride.

agreed...what my TPS did show was that there was a discrepancy between the front and rear pressures, which shouldn't have been the case

:agree:... at the correct 42 psi pressure in both tyres, my front reads 38psi and the rear tyre reads 40psi, disappointing when you consider how good genrally the engineering is on the GTR  :censored:

I now have one of these, so I can be confident that the tyre pressures are correct, I'll check to see what discrepancy, if any, exists between the new pressure gauge and the bikes TPS

I don't trust the sensor readout readings.  They are calibrated for temperature fluctuations according to Kwackers.  Not sure what that means.

:agree:  I think they shouldn't be relied on  but used as a guide/reference......I did find them useful when I suffered a rear puncture years ago

They are great for a quick visual check whilst on the move, but nothing more than that really.
