Hi gang. I  was wondering if anyone had any experience of small dab radios. I changed from a sena smh10 to a 20s about a year ago for the radio feature but the tuner is useless at best. Sena will not honour the warranty as I purchased it second hand from eBay.... even though they know the tuners on the early units were faulty! I notice that the dab radio reception is a lot better these days, so was thinking of feeding the output of one though the auxiliary connection of the sena.

In my limited experience, you need a decent aerial, and it seems all portable DAB sets are battery-eaters.

External aerial and external power would be the ideal scenario. Not sure how practical that would be for your set-up.

Cheers

Cheers Paul.... I'll have a look into it, but might be more hassle than its worth then

I had the same system and it was brilliant. Really good reception and I used the FM transmitter to send it to my Sena headset when I (like an idiot) switched to Bluetooth but the audio out when I used an Autocom. I put the aerial on a bracket by the grab rail at the back and it worked a treat :-)

"Some" bikes have to have a radio as standard as it drowns out the noise of the poxy engine and exhaust.

I guess Radio 4 sounds better.
Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.

Yes that's a valid point. Listening to almost 1700cc from a 6 cylinder beast can be quite grating!
