After just fitting the rad guard, thought about covering exhaust header hole with some black ally mesh I have.
Bit much of a faf, so thought get a fender extender to help keep the  :shit: off.
Age must bring on confusion! Which one? On fleaBay there's Pyramid, R&G, or un-named - not a great difference in price.
Any experience out there as to which is the best / most effective / tidiest fit and adhesion?
Any thoughts appreciated. :ohplease:
Ta,

I have a "Red Fox" fender extender on my GTR which is fitted using plastic rivets. It does a good job and is securely fitted. I always fit extenda fendas on any bike I own, and over the years have fitted most makes. They have all done the job satisfactorily.
From a fitting point of view you can use plastic rivets, covered headed screws, or adhesive, or indeed a combination of adhesive and and some form of hard fixing like screws.  I guess whatever you feel happy with is the way to go. Using a combination usually avoids removing the mudguard. Hope this helps, and good luck with the job in hand...

I think mine is a Pyramid ~ TBH I cant remember,  however it is attached with double sided adhesive pads which were supplied, its imperative to make sure that surfaces are very clean and at the correct minimum temperature,  I also used clips to hold it tight and in place overnight.

So far it has held tight, in the past Ive added extra securing screws, making sure that they don't interfere with the front tyre.this means removing the complete fender which can be a bit of a pain, but a whole lot better than drilling holes into your front tyre

The extender substantially  reduces the amount of crud that is thrown into the headers

Took me five minutes to remove the front fender, then stuck the extender to the rear and clamped it over it just to make sure, back on again in less than two minutes.

Simples.
Ducati owner now but I used to have a Black one, the fastest version.

They are all pretty similar. I added screws to mine as had one come off my GTR1000.
Just remember if yer gonna ride down a kerb, there is less clearance than normal.

Well worth it on the front.  Keeps the debris from getting into the front rad..  However, the debris now moves to the back tire....

i had the RG one on my GTR and it melted !   same fitment as the zzr one but its positioning puts it extremely close to the headers. came back after a hot trip around Italy and it was badly deformed , there are pics on here somewhere showing it .
ended up getting the set front and rear  from larry on here ( the blue one) and didnt have a problem again
