After seeing the mod to use bearings instead of plastic bush on both bmw and our gtrs , I did mine about 2000 mls ago a feel it is stable and adds a nice slick feel to the gear shift  .
As far as I can tell looking at the parts all gtr gear lever bushes are the same the kit will consist of 2 bearings , spacer in s/s,2 custom washers , stainless socket head bolt and nyloc safety nut .
If enough peeps would like I can make a kit for £20 + post  or send me your lever and I can install send it back, apart from the bearings and hex bolt all are made by me not for any profit just a nice smooth gear lever .
I have posted here to gauge demand to purchase bearings and bolts.

Sorry to ask the question, but can you elaborate?
Perhaps some pics? Had a look at the parts plan and can't make it out?

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

In the gear lever there is a plastic sleve that wears very quickly making it sloppy most people don't notice, this can be replaced with ball race's that takes any side and slop out of the movement , if you want I can give the sizes of bearings  and spacer needed .

This is just a little improvement that make a change that is noticeable once completed.

Yes except 2 bearings as one in the middle is not necessary and the bolt has a plane shank so that the inner race  will run parallel  not on the thread pitch.

Something like this?
Thanks for posting  the link I could not find  it quickly.

I have that on my bike and being the unfeeling sod that I am could not tell the difference but it is more robust than what came with the bike.  I have not had any issues with it.

Me 2, let me get back from Germany mid next week and I will remove my linkage and send it up.

Sounds like a good mod.

Above all use the right size Allen key in good shape , and the thread on the linkage nearest the engine is LH thread on mine at least.

Hi did you manage to remove your gear lever ?
