Missed the Belfry ...was on a long weekend in Ireland...four of us. Me on the GTR, one on a ZZR, one on a Ducati and one on a Triumph. Yep I was on the best bike and did TEC duties so that I could pick up all the parts that were falling off the other bikes  :mfr_lol:

I have piut some piccies up. We spent every night in the Templebar area of Dublin...magic. The roads, weather and scenery were fantastic all weekend.

Lucky you....I have spent quite a few very happy hours in a well lubricated stupor in the Temple Bar

I hope one day to go to Ireland as it does look beautiful just like Scotland.

:agree: great atmosphere and absolutely buzzing, so easy for the "Black Stuff" to go down, met up with a few other tourers and somehow it got onto the Jameson's.....we all came close to the point of  "To hell with tomorrows ride, this is great"    :hammer:  :hammer: fortunately commonsense ruled and we called it a night....we did still have Sunday night so no problem

The ride on Sunday was brilliant and the Sunday night visit to Templebar finished the weekend off nicely

My only criticism of the whole weekend is that Dublin is bloody expensive. Our Hotel was £500 for the weekend ( Bed & Breakfast) and Euro7.50 a pint... :censored: :censored:

Yes Wolf, very much like Scotland, but the people and the culture quite different. I was impressed with how many local people took part in outdoor activities, walking, jogging, swimming and by far the largest contingent of cyclists, male and female, that I have seen outside of Spain.

The people so friendly, it was a joy to share their company.

I hope you manage a visit there, I am sure you will love it.
