See there's write up's of Highland forays done in the past, but just wondering if anyone's done the NC500 route?
Lad at work suggested it, I haven't been up past the M8 for years, just wondering if any experience of comfy timescales / distances, digs etc.
With work and family commitments possibly looking at last week in September, is that chancing it?
A bit late that time of year? At least midges should be over by then!
Any thoughts appreciated.

I did it last year in July and it was a cracking ride over 5 days with sensible distances each day between stopping point (we did loops each day so averaged 180 miles a day)

Great scenery and nice flowing roads  :punk:

Wolf and I are heading north next month

As I'm only the Wingman. Senior management has the flight plan (which is on a need to know basis) apparently I don't need to know  :mfr_lol:

So we can give you some feed back if that's the route we're taking

Better take the gtr Charlie two k16s pushing it a bit I feel.

There's an advantage of taking the K16 Charlie.. At least if you breakdown you have a spare to nick the parts off..  :mfr_lol:

A K16 breaking down.....it would never happen! It is after all BMW's flagship tourer.

That really is an invitation!
From the Google archives!   :smartass:
"2014 K1600 GTL broke down in rainstorm - My 3000 milesGTL broke down with a blocked run stop switch after a 2h ride in heavy rain. Switch is frozen into the on postion. Canbus prevents bump start. "

Where were you off to?             (sorry, had to be done!)
