Guys,

I have my 3 disks that needs to be changed.

The OEM price is really crazy : 408 USD for a front disks and 265 for a rear one. That's almost 1000 USD only for the disks...

Did anyone tried alternative disks on the market?

Cheers

EBC or there are some Chinese disks that appear to be doing well..  Boomer has them I think.  Maybe others.

I have fitted Armstrong ones on the front after the Kawasaki ones warped at 8000m , now done 18000m on these with no problems , so can recomend them ,  the Chinese ones that people say are good are the arashi ones I think ,

Have Arashi disks on the front. Now 20k miles on them and they are as good as OEM disks they replaced.
I used Ferodo pads initially and they were not so good. Work well with EBC HH pads though.
Disks look like they may last at least as long as the OEMs which did 48k miles and were down to 4.1mm.
I'll buy them again.
Oh yeah, £130 delivered for both front disks.
Find them on Ebay.

It's discs , not disks ,,,,,,,,,,,, :mfr_lol:

Hello

Any difference between the gold and black version of the Arashi?

Is there a good rear disc? I feel that there are less option as those discs are specifics to ZZR & GTR..

After 2 sets of OEM discs warped, I went the EBC route and have never looked back. Done about 40 000km's on them with some hard use thrown into the mix and they are still holding up brilliantly. Some good quality kit the EBC's are!!

Nope, just colour difference.
GTR and ZZR front discs are the same.
Not sure about rear as mine is still the OEM is at 69k miles and nowhere near the wear limit.

I measured 5mm gage. From what I recall the service limit is a 5.5 right?
