I've had linked brakes years ago on my old ST1300 and VFR Vtec and they were pretty much unobtrusive, I am wondering if the linked brakes on my GTR are working as they should. They probably are but I need to ask. Do they work through the ecu? I understand how to increase the linking with the orange button and that's very impressive, but I'am not sure about mine, could anyone shed any light on it.

Using the front or rear brakes separately is fine but when applying a bit of back brake while already braking with the front I can feel the rear inputs through the front lever and visa versa, if that makes sense. Does this sound right?

You can certainly feel the linking more on the GTR than the Pan.

I have mine set to the lesser of the two modes (less circles displayed on dash) as the higher one is way too intrusive when using just the back pedal.

You can also feel it stop working at the low speed cut off point.

I've got used to it but I'd have to say Honda's linking is better (except it doesn't turn off for low speed manoeuvres).

It's very easy to change the mode. Here's a screen shot of the manual explaining all.

which means they'll not warp yeyyy

Vixer

So it sounds like the pulsing I am feeling in the lever when using the back brake is normal, they aren't warped so I'll just ride it and get used to it.

Me either.  I have an 08 without linked brakes.  At the time Kwackers made statements to the effect that they didn't want to ruin the bike by linking the brakes.  They must have drunk too much Saki on the 10's and upward.
