Has anyone tried these Goldfren pads;

Before i get verified for even daring to suggest using cheap pads  :nono: I am not usually tempted by cheaper options but thought i would ask the question.

Hi Tony, I have a set on mine. They have done the job and had a nice bite to them initially, but I will try something else next time  as they don't seem to have that bite any longer on the first pull of the brake lever. To be fair though, they've performed quite well for the money, but I guess any set of pads will feel an improvement on the old ones, and reduce in performance over time. I'd probably give them 7 out of 10 and say they're not bad for the money, but will try another brand next time as a comparison.

I tried Goldfren and wasn't overly impressed.  Changed them in the end to SBS pads and find them much better.  Moe initial grip and very nicely progressive
