Evening all  :)

It may seem like a daft question....but I will ask it anyway ??? ???

whilst riding the bike the other day a warning light came up on the dash stating
that the Transponder battery Low, not being that mechanical and all that I was thinking the worst.

When I got home I had a look at the Handbook and saw that it was the battery in the Key Fob, (with me so far ?) bought new one and the kind gentleman in the shop fitted it  :)

Tonight when I went to start the bike it again was flashing Low Transponder Bty, surely it cant have gone flat so soon ?

Confussed.com so am I. Cheers Sidders

Hello mate ...
There are plenty of technical chaps here who will solve the problem for you ... Me ? Not technical but I am sure it would not be a flat battery so soon , more likely to be a fault with the bit that receives the transponder info ... if you see what I mean ! Hang on a while and when the Northern contingent wake up there will be a flood of real answers !  ;D ;D ..... Only joking Boys !!

I'd try putting another battery in. Could be the that new one has been lying around a while

yup..agreed, confirm that its not just a duff battery?... if you have a pre 2010 model, you should have a spare transponder key...if its post 2010 then i think you have an emergency key...whatever way you shouldn't be scuppered. As an FYI my transponder warning came up on the bike, when the bikes battery was low?...so if all else fails, check the voltages on that too

And finally....go to the dealer...wireless signals!!...all very high tech. If i cant fix it with Gaffa Tape lor WD40...then its outside of my sphere of knowledge ::)
It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
