Hi All

As my wife is rather tall..  her knees are up by her ears (no funnies please!!) im looking for a used set of lower rear pegs, hopefully with rubbers (this post is descending into smutt)...

I know there is the USA guy who sells them but really....  im after a set that are used as cant justify the massive cost of new ones..  something smacks as silly at nigh on 200 dollars for a couple of foot pegs.  plus the wife wilol only be on the back twice a year.

If you've a set kicking about - give me a shout!
Cheers

You guys are nice.  We'd have a field day with this one.  We had an individual that produced a lowering mount that one could use with a variety of other pegs.  Mine has a peg set from a Honda but it does help the wife's knees.  Unfortunately I don't think he's making them anymore.

any chance of maybe seeing if hes still making them???  as a huge favour for a wife with exceptionally long legs..  about to do a 2500 mile tour in a week!  (june)

she'd be ever ever ever so grateful !  (as would my ears due to lack of moaning)

I sent him an email but he hasn't checked in to the forum in a year.  Took me a bit to remember his screen name.

Have a look at motorcycle Larry.com. He does a lowering kit with fjr rubber pegs

Heard from the member that used to make them.   Hasn't been doing that for quite some time unfortunately, so I think that Motorcycle Larry would be your best bet unless someone knows of another.

Do a Google search on 'gtr 1400 peg lowerer' and you'll come up with others.  ProjektD has them as well.

ive seen these but I have a REAL problem with paying $156 plus postage plus the inevitable Tax when they get here..  for 2 footpegs!  is it just me or does anyone else think this is a HUGE cost for what they are!!

That's £110 plus post and Tax!!!

crazy prices!!!

By the time that you have added the cost of ER6 footrests to the lowering kit to improve comfort through having the rubber cushioned tops, the total cost (at least in my case) came out at  around two hundred pounds. However the improvement in ride quality for the passenger (and subsequent reduction in complaints to the rider) is invaluable!
