I've seen reports about ultimate ear products, is anyone currently using them or have used them in the past and if so what do you think of them. ?

I have some OC. I would wear them when I go abroad on long trips, but it's now illegal to wear them in France.. I have not worn them in a while. They are very comfortable too..

Can you guess which colour I have?

Oh, I think we knew that... :mfr_lol:   I'm sure that there are more colours we could have guessed, though.

Yes and Yes...
I had to go to a hearing specialists to get moulds of my inner ear. Once received I then sent them off to have the Soundear made..

yep I take your point Debs,      I've recently seen a few posts on this subject and its got me thinking,  I currently use Alpine plugs which are quite good but clearly not as good as a more specialised product.

Was tbe hearing specialist that you used local or did you have to seach out a specialist that can handle this type of work  ?

OC ... "Ultimate Ear" are very good .. we have similar at work but they do harden up after a couple of years and you need a new set .. although that is wearing them most days for a good few hours   I went to Amazon and purchased a box of 200 pairs of Laser Lite ear plugs for around £18 if I remember the price correctly ... use a pair for a couple of days and bin them ... Health and Safety recommend after every ride to prevent possible contamination and ear infections ....but I can't bring myself to waste them so .... they are excellent and I think long term offer better protection .. I can still listen to music etc as the BM comms set is in the helmet. Even with modern technology and great helmets and big screens if you ride without plugs you're a fool.

OC.. I just used a local one that they recommended me to go to..

They also use Medical grade silicone material. I have had mine for nearly 4 years and they haven't started to go hard. Personally I can't see them going hard in the future.
Because they are moulded you can't put them in the wrong ear either. That's got to be a plus...

Yes you can get a box of foam ones.. I also have these but use them for sleeping so the noisy brat next door don't wake me with her crying..

It's personal choice OC..

They must be good if... Coca Cola, Suzuki, BMW, HM Forces, Renault F1 Team, BAE Systems, Thames Valley Police and others use them.

I need to research even more, thanks Debs and 'old' Rusty for your advice    :mfr_lol:
