Yeaaaa.  Did the trick.  New plugs and a cleaning of the from cam sensor. 😁👍

Interesting...I understand how the plugs may have helped but the front cam sensor?  Never heard of that as causing any kind of issue other than an oil leak.  And how do you clean it?  If anything, it's bathed in oil.  I've had them fail on a car and it caused hard starting when hot.  Car ran fine with it like that once started.  No sputtering.  I did some searching on cam shaft sensors and it's either bad or working.  A bad sensor can cause rough running.  I didn't see anything on cleaning them.  The sensor itself is self contained and works magnetically I believe.    I think them cleaning it made them feel better but I don't think it had anything to do with your issue unless they actually replaced it.

There was a very slight misting of oil on the cam sensor electrical connection on the outside of the cam sensor at the fromt of the cam cover from a very very small weep from the cam cover gasket. This may and I say may have got into the connection and caused problems so they just cleaned off the electrical connection. Probably not but really I'm just glad the bloody things fixed. 😁

I know that feeling..  We've had trouble with the front sensor leaking oil and replacing the o-ring usually takes care of it.  A bad electrical connection doesn't help.  Glad you got it sorted.

So now having done some digging on the cam cover seal apparently it's a common problem due to the cam tightening bolts shoulders not allowing he bolts to tighten down enough to squeez he cam cover down. Apparently some thicker washers is the answer.  Any else heard of this?   Mine so little I'm  not bothered at the moment but just thought I'd ask. Reports of the seal leaking at 8k which is ridiculous.

This cam sensor, it is the one in the front?  If so, it's an o-ring seal not a gasket as far as I know.  From what I understand, you can replace the o-ring with the Kwackers part but it will still leak.  One of our members has sourced another o-ring that fits a bit tighter.  I've actually got that o-ring and am going to fit it at some point this winter.   Let me see what I can find on our site about it...   I'll update this with the link...

Here it is..  http://www.zggtr.org/index.php?topic=13866.0

Actually let me check that Kwackers number and see if it's changed at all over the years.  Ok, it's 92055-1639 and it's found under the fuel injection fiche.   It has not changed through the 2015 models...  http://www.ronayers.com/oemparts/a/kaw/500b58fef8700223e4796c24/fuel-injection

Yep It's the one at the front but the weep seems to be along the leading edge of the cam cover. Very little oil and no fresh oil and it seems encrusted with road grime/grit and I can see no fresh oil anywhere only traces of old. May well be the cam sensor o ring weeping and the wind blowing it sideways along the cam cover when riding at some point

Cheers mate thanks.
