You did keep the rear master cylinder topped up?

It's under the seat.

I must admit I was unaware of the rear master cylinder and I did run it down. Since then I have used a vacuum pump as well as the traditional method of bleeding but still no fluid coming through
I don't think it's the master cylinder as all was working before I touched it !!!

I tried to bleed mine on a zzr11 rear  calliper , could not do it by hand ,took it to the garage and he used a electric pump to push it through and get the air out , even then it took some doing , I thought it would be easy ,  apparently not , bleeding brakes ,  :gun_bandana:

If it went dry, then a power bleeder will be in order.  I don't believe the rear master cylinder has a bleeder on it like the front.

I may be talking rubbish but is there something like an abs block between the rear cylinder and the calliper which might need bleeding its of?

Other than that I don't know, when I did mine I kept it topped up all the time.

I don't think that has a bleeder, Alan.  Having a MS go dry is not good, especially one that does not have it's own bleeder.

Vacuum applied to the bleed nipple whilst pumping the brake pedal will sort it.
Otherwise get a syringe and push the brake fluid from the bleed nipple to the master cylinder.
That's how I finally got my clutch sorted after a slave cylinder rebuild.
