Hi all. Had Suzi GSX650F for a few years. Thats from local Suzi dealer, then they expanded to my town to Kawasaki. So i went and test rode GTR 1400. Fell in love. The presence, size and comfort made me feel it was extra special. So i bought it (green one), wife went on back and loved it. So now wife want's to go abroad, which she would never have considered on old bike. Only thing i would gripe about is the front tyre, i feel less than easy in the wet with it. Anybody else feel its a bit light?

Bondu

Hello & welcome.

It'll be the tyre, not the bike, check out the tyre review thread  :)

Hi and Welcome

Glad you and your wife like the GTR, it is a cracking good bike  :)
If the bike has the BT21's then they aren't as good as other tyres in the wet, particularly when they start to wear.
If the front feels a bit 'light' in the wet you might want to look at the rear suspension pre-load settings and make sure it has been adjusted for yourself and yourself+wife.

Kind regards

Steven

Good to have another member on board, welcome along. Nobody seems to like the standard tyres on the GTR. If you can afford it after getting the bike get the tyres taken off and stick them on EBay and buy some PR3's.

Hi dwallace,

as mentioned, get the tyres changed and suspension adjusted.

PR3s are the way to go imo

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?
