At last.........after 6 months my horn is now performing superbly!
Thanks 2 eBay and a cost of just over £5 not just horny, but twice as horny!
Even woke the wife up with it after I got it working.........not happy being confronted with that much horn in the morning, but she was well impressed with the effectiveness!
Didn't even have to strap it on, just went where it was designed to work!

Just look at that girth of horn ................WOW

I trust you've not enhanced them and they are as nature intended ?

Oh yes, used all the original fixtures and fittings utilised,  just maximising the allocated area for a tad more growth!     :single fuck:

Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead.

In my days of inadequacy I was a firm believer in citing "It ain't what you got.....it's the way that you use it!
But now....with my recent upgrade...I can confidently say ......"Bigger the better!"

Like many here, I was embarrassed by my horn and because of that, I wouldn't use it very often. Sometimes my wife would complain that she felt I wasn't doing it when I should. I tried to explain things to her and how I felt, but finally decided to take positive action.

I needed something that would get me noticed and chose a ... Split denali soundbomb from R&G.

I've shown my new horn off to several other bikers so far and they've been very impressed. It's all tucked away under the top of the front right fairing with a pipe down to the original mounting block.

Should have done it sooner. I now use my new horn in broad daylight in front of anyone!

Love it! That's the treatment I'm going for!

Got it from R&G
And because I am lazy/incompetent/scared of buggering up my gtr I got their plug'n play wiring harness http://www.rg-racing.com/browsetype/Denali_Sound/Universal/Universal/DENDNLELC10000/

Sorry, didn't take photos while fitting but ... I only:
Took screen off; removed black tank air filter cover thingy where older models have handy cubby-hole
removed glove box and the black inner fairing it fits into ... Removed same on right side
Changed air filter whilst mucking about. Remove eom horn & bracket. Fix new horn sound chamber (this is the split version of the Denali soundbomb) to the bracket, attach air hose & thread that up.

On right side (facing fwd) under the black top trim, there's an almost vertical  foam 'bulkhead' with a metal bracket supporting it ... Perfect place to fit the compressor!! But .. I had to remove the foam and unbolt the bracket to widen the thread of one of its pre drilled holes to bolt the compressor to. Then reassemble bracket plus foam and bolt the compressor to it. Fit the air hose and electric connectors from wiring harness first to avoid unnecessary swearing later. Neatly thread wires to connect to ground (frame); oem horn wires and make a direct connection to battery. No need to remove side fairing, wires thread through easily. Make sure all is good and tight, neatly cable clipped.

Before testing, go get ear plugs and make sure the cat is nowhere near, also make sure the cat in the next road is safely tucked up inside (seriously, saw one almost run straight into a wooden fence!).

Smug & happy .... Going to start a league for how many people I can knock over just using my prize horn (yeah ... I know it's sick, but I never claimed I wasn't warped).

I like his thinking!  I wonder how it would work on squirrels?
