I thought it was a MK9 (with wide cockpit option) but stand to be corrected............ :mfr_lol:

Went shopping at the weekend................................nice to find a good fitting MK9  :punk:

If you're thinking I'm looking a bit serious, dower or bored in the pictures its because I'm trying not to think of the cost £ of the Hiab hire to remove me from the cockpit

Pross. Young Cheryl sent me up ................it was a priverledge  to sit in and respect what for many was their last place of work.  Very moving. I never in a million years ever expected to sit in one. Next is to save my pennies and take a ride in one and long for the command "You have control" The cockpit is compact with most controls falling readily to hand. Just wish I had a type rating and could go let her spread her wings in her natural environment.  Gob smacked that I fitted. Now fully understand the expression strapping one to ones back.  :punk:

You do make me laugh Charlie, especially you and the 'horny' figure   :mfr_lol:

Brilliant pictures mate which make it clear that the superb Spitfire was indeed manufactured to be an 'all round' aircraft   :mfr_lol:

A quick google shows you are correct Charlie. Chin position air intake with a four bladed propeller as the instant identifiers.

Although the pictures don't show it..............the longer nose is also an indicator.  :mfr_lol:
